it depends on how fast you can get the camera to take frames. you'd have to use high speed shutter for things like that. the reason none of us are flipping out as we watch the video is because the video we see might not have the subliminal suggestion picked up by the camera. remember, it's an extremely fast message - the high speed shutter option of most cameras are for capturing fluid fast motion, so it should work. that just means more frames to sift through, however.
