Dear Clamato,
My family and I have enjoyed your zesty combination of garden freshness and briny-sea goodness for years. As a busy Mom with 9 kids and another on the way, I have to keep a close eye on the pocketbook, so I also appreciate the fact that each cool, refreshing bottle of Clamato is a fantastic value!
The problem is, a couple of my teenagers have told me that they heard in school that it's no longer "cool" to enjoy the flat-out lip-smacking refreshment of Clamato. They say your product is "lame." Sadly, this seems to be a trend among our society's brainwashed latchkey youth, who wouldn't know true, honest-to-goodness value, nutritional excellence and downright deliciousness if it bit them on the patootie!
My question to you, Clamato, is this: what do you plan to do to win back these Clamato orphans? I feel that you need some kind of new marketing campaign that is as fun and zesty as your product itself. Something "extreme" and "rad" that will get these kids off their duffs and excited about Clamato again! What if you had a cute cartoon tomato skateboarding with a cartoon clam? How fun would that be?
Like I said though, I am just a woman and a mother, you are the expert! Please don't put anything too dirty or disrespectful in your ads, though, like that tramp Britney Spears. Her mother should be hanging her head in shame over that one.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Judy Mayer
