BLACKOUT VIDEO; MORE MED. INFO

Picked up this video from the owner of a cafe here in orlando. He emailed me last night and told me a friend had forwarded him the url for my site. Said he probably wouldn't of believed the blackouts if he hadn't seen one with his own two eyes a couple months ago. This guy was in the middle of ordering, and he just started screaming and charged and tackled this guy. The owner said when he woke up, he looked around at everybody looking at him and just started sobbing. The guy who got tackled bruised his arm pretty bad and was pretty shook up, but wasn't serously hurt. He didn't want to press charges because he felt bad for the guy.

It's hard to make out the tackler's features even on my tv, but the way he throws his hands in the air like that looks a lot like this one really excited guy who was at the march 22 beta test. If this is you in this video, or you know how to reach him, please contact me!

Got some more helpful info from onlooker today, this time some lecture notes on dissociative disorders, and one specifically called dissociative trance disorder sounds very close to what happens to me. i'm going to do more research on this. thanks again, onlooker!

That is messed up, man. Do you know who that guy is, Beta-7?

Posted by: Zak at August 13, 2003 02:23 PM

I have a friend who works for EA and he said they are laughing their asses off because THEY are the ones behind this site. He said that this is an attempt to smear ESPN NFL Football and give Sega a hard time.

The whole time I thought this was Sega doing it now I find out it is actually EA.

I'm not sure how I feel about such underhanded smear campaign.

Posted by: Truth Seeker at August 13, 2003 03:49 PM

That's BS. How would you explain that game footage? EA has an early copy of ESPN NFL Football, huh?

Posted by: at August 13, 2003 04:35 PM

Why wouldnt EA have an advanced copy of ESPN football? If Beta7 can get a copy, EA can get a copy too....

Posted by: Ramz at August 13, 2003 04:45 PM

That's a good point.

Seems we have 3 things here:

advertisement by Sega, which seems the most realistic and possible

Some beta-tester who really is telling the truth, which is 2nd in line

and then EA, which while it makes sense, there are too many holes for it to be possible. Yes, when you say some guy like beta-7 can get a beta copy, then EA should be able too also, but the whole beta-7 demo thing sounds more like a marketing ploy by Sega more than EA, if you get what I'm saying.

Posted by: someguy at August 13, 2003 04:55 PM

Its not BS its the truth. Its not so hard to get early copies of games.

Also, think about the fact that Beta-7 supposedly lives in Orlando and MADDEN is developed in Orlando, and all these videos take place supposedly in Orlando. Hmmmmm could that all be a coincidence? Of course not because the Orlando campus of EA are the ones behind this site.

Just think about it.

Posted by: Truth Seeker at August 13, 2003 05:06 PM

I don't think EA would waste their time on this. They are alrady kicking SEGA's ass when it comes to football, so why would they want to bring more attention to SEGA's game by doing this?

Doesn't make sense if you really think about it.

Also, why is the argument about BETA-7 being real or not still going on? I mean if you guys really don't believe him, then why the fuck are you still coming to this site? Why are you still wasting your time making the same fucking argument over and over again whenever he posts something new up on the site? Who gives a shit what you think? Do you really think you guys are smarter than us and trying to open our eyes to what is really going on, saving us from the evil messege of B7 or, God forbid, SEGA MARKETING?

If you don't believe it, then don't come back. The fact that you do come back says something about what you really believe. It's like you guys want to show everyone how smart you are at calling B7 out as being fake but you still come back and check things out, just in case.

If you really think about it, you guys come back for the same reasons I come back - because it's stupid and fun.

I don't know if I beleive this shit but you know, who cares? Keep hitting it, B7!

And more tackle videos! They're fucking hilarious!

-Shmegma the great.

Posted by: Schegma the great at August 13, 2003 05:31 PM

The only thing this site has done is generate interest for ESPN NFL Football. Why would EA want to do that?

Posted by: chalk at August 13, 2003 08:32 PM

Shmegma the great brings up some valid points, but why would my friend tell me that EA is behind the site, then? He works for them and he told me because he thinks it was a stupid thing to do, for the very reasons you bring up, that the site has only brought attention to ESPN NFL Football.

Regardless of who Beta-7 works for or if he is real, I keep checking this site because it is a great story and I can't wait to find out what his next move is going to be.

So whats next, Beta-7?

Posted by: Truth Seeker at August 13, 2003 11:07 PM

EA is behind it huh? Thats a new theory. You know if this "Friend from EA" were to email me and tell me this himself I'm sure I would be happy to help take down Sega.

In fact if EA would like to hire me to do this that would be even better. I have been trying to ruin Sega for 5 years now after all so its not like I don't have the job experience for it.

Posted by: Sega Slayer at August 14, 2003 01:53 AM

LMAO @ Schegma. Now we have to agree with everything on a website to view it? Are you some sort of internet nazi?

I come here because I find it interesting. I guess that's not a good enough reason in your eyes.

And all this EA talk is fucking hysterical. It was funny over at NFL2kx (home of the some of the stupidest internet dwellers ive ever seen) and it's even funnier over here.

EA. That's funny. "My friend." That's really funny.

Posted by: 2 + 2 = 5 at August 14, 2003 08:38 AM

Whatever reasons you have for coming here 2 +2 = 5 are fine with me. And laugh all you want but I have no reason to doubt my buddy. I really don't care what you think but I thought it was important to give this info out.

It makes much more sense that this would be a site by EA than Sega. Think about it:

1. EA develops MADDEN in Orlando. Beta-7 lives in Orlando. All these videos take place in Orlando. Sega and VC have no presence in Orlando (at least that I know of). This seems much more than a mere coincidence.

2. This site dogs Sega, VC and ESPN NFL Football. It asks people not to buy it and it has pissed off a lot of Sega fans.

3. EA can't come right out and insult Sega because of their sales dominance so this Beta-7 cover gives them a platform to do that.

4. The only attention this site has given ESPN NFL has been negative attention. Look at all the negativity this site caused about the crib. Sega and VC were hyping it as the next ultimate feature in a game and then this site blows the lid off it and exposes it for nothing more than a silly trophy room. Everyone was dogging vc about this and it was a PR disaster for them.

5. Beta-7 never says anything bad about EA, only Sega and VC.

So go ahead and laugh, but you can't say its not true because you have no prrof otherwise.

again yawn

Posted by: at August 14, 2003 01:57 PM

I could see Sega using this as a means of advertising. Think about this: We humans are terrible at avoiding shit that we are told not to do. SO... the fact that this site is telling us NOT to buy Sega games (ie ESPN Football) just may make people want to go out to buy the game in order to see the effects.

On the other hand, this could be the work of EA or some petty fan boys. The more people that take this shit seriously the more laughs that someone is getting...SIMPLE.

I am not sure where I stand, but I know that I dont care so much about this to waste much time thinking about it. I just love the funny videos.

Posted by: Ramz at August 14, 2003 01:58 PM

To the gutless jerk who posted "again yawn" why don't you just go away? The only thing boring about this sight is your lame posts which are the most boring thing on here.

Nobody cares what you think and you don't even have the guts to put a name to yourself.

Posted by: Zak at August 14, 2003 02:24 PM

what different does it make whether you put a name to yourself anyway? It's pointless whether you do or don't, just makes it easier to identify who's talking.

Posted by: Believer at August 14, 2003 02:29 PM

Where is beta-7? I'm getting really scared and really horny because I haven't fucked him up his ass in about 2 days. OH beta-7 where are you?

Posted by: beta-13 at August 14, 2003 02:30 PM

That's my point, Believer. You sign your posts so if someone wants to discuss soemthing you said they can attribute it. When you don't sign posts its because you want to make it harder for people to refer to your post (and thus respond). It allows everyone to get to know you and where you stand which helps make conversation easier.

Posted by: Zak at August 14, 2003 02:39 PM

Whoever posted as Beta-13, (is that you, Believer?), is not even remotely funny or interesting or amusing. If you are going to come on here and throw insults at Beta-7 then at least try to be funny and amuse us.

Posted by: Zak at August 14, 2003 02:43 PM

Wasn't me, I promise you that.

That being said, how do you get the names to be yellow? I um...may've once posted as Beta-7 [heh heh], but I couldn't get a yellow name.

You have to enter an email and website. You know isntead of being an annonymous wuss.
