WHASSUP, DOC? Just got back from the doctor. Had a regular physical in his office, and all that was normal, but he wants me to go to the hospital next week for some tests. I tell him ive been having episodes that I don't remember afterwards, and as soon as I mention "video game" he starts asking me if ive ever had seizures before. I tell him no, and I don't think its photosensitive epilepsy either, and he just kinda tilts his head to the side, raises and eyebrow and says, "let's let ME figure out what it is, okay?" Whatever. This doctor was kind of an asshole and really creeped me out. He's got these really short, stubby chewed up fingernails, which I was trying not to think about as he had his hands on me, but it still grossed me out. So the whole ride back my mom is going on and on and on about how much all this is going to cost, and so finally im' like, look mom, I never asked you to take me to the doctor, and if these tests are to expensive, then fuck it, I just wont go. Immeidiately I regreat blurting out the F-word, cuz then she starts bitching at me even louder. she says, if the doctor says you need these tests, then you need these tests, and your going for them, end of story. The ride home, so much of my energy went into fighting with my mom that it wasn’t until I got home that all this really sank in. I mean, the hospital. Damn. ive always had a fear of hospitals, and all this time ive figured it was something in the game that messed me up, and ive been hoping somehow I could find like the "off" switch or somehting and everything would be ok, but what if theres something wrong with me, like a brain tumor or something? I know I should think positive like janine always seems to be able to, but all this shit with doctors just puts my mind in "worst case scenario" mode or something.
